    IdentificationA very distinctive bug with similar males and females, 4mmBL incl.wings. HEAD black to behind the eyes, then reddish; PRONOTUM reddish, posteriorly black, with distinct medial hump; HEMELYTRA transparent; ABDOMEN pale green.
    Similar SpeciesProtacanthus decorus Uhler, 1893 [including P. bihamatus Dismore...tant] also has black head, BUT pronotum lacks medial lobe (vs has medial lobe); also has 4th antennae joint rusty brown (vs black-brown); pale spot between ocelli (vs uniform red-brown). Known from St Vincent, Caribbean. Recorded Fiji by Bryan 1927.
